Sabine was also proud to be a member of the Columbiettes, a Catholic women’s organization focused on promoting the spiritual, social, and charitable welfare of members. Sabine was the president of a startup not-for-profit group Women United For Change (WUFC) Inc that focused on fundraising for social causes affecting our communities and volunteerism. They joyfully married in August 2016. Sabine was also very involved with community affairs and with the parish life at church. He swept her off her feet and he gave her happiness and true love. Sabine met her soulmate Charles Joseph who matched her energy with the same excitement. She was a positive force of life wherever she went and with whomever she met. Sabine loved to dance and was always ready for a social gathering. She loved traveling the world with friends and family. Sabine truly enjoyed her life, and always gave it her all.

She was highly regarded throughout her career from being an RN, a professor, and an NP.Įven more remarkable than her professional accomplishments, was Sabine’s dynamic personality, her generous and giving spirit, and her service to the community. Sabine was also enrolled in the MPH program at the CUNY SPH and was 1 semester shy of completing the program.

Sabine wanted to share her skills and knowledge with others and began teaching as an Adjunct Assistant Professor for several sites at CUNY. As an adult NP, Sabine worked at NYU Langone Hospital. in Nursing and became a Nurse Practitioner. She continued her education at Hunter College to complete her M.S. She developed close bonds with colleagues at NY Methodist forming friendships that would last a lifetime.

After receiving her BSN at LIU, Sabine was employed at NY Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn as a RN on the medical-surgical unit. Sabine began her career as an LPN working the night shift at nursing homes while attending Hunter College. In high school she found her true calling to become a nurse. Tilden High school, she was a socialite and a part of the Honors Bridge Program at LIU, yearbook committee, class president and star bowler on the “B” Bowling team. Sabine attended elementary and junior high school with young neighbors and was able to maintain lifelong friendships with them. Sabine was an exuberant child, and had the personality, tenacity, and presence that would light up a room wherever she went. Growing up in the neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant, alongside her 3 siblings, was far from easy, but it taught her to persevere and become resilient. Sabine and her 3 siblings grew up with both Haitian and American culture.

Sabine was born in December 1979 in Brooklyn, New York, and raised by her parents Marie & Flaubert Nord.
